The brief

We are putting on “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde. The play is set in 1895 and follows two dishonest socialites. In the play dishonesty nearly stops one of the characters marrying their true love. It is a satire of Victorian social conventions. The main themes are morality and marriage. It is a witty comedy. We need an eye catching image for the poster and programme. This can be drawn, painted, use a digital medium or photography. We must be able to copy the image for reproduction.
