The Pupil Premium

Egglescliffe school receives Pupil Premium funding from the government each year. As a school we are totally committed to raising the aspirations and standards of achievement of all students and there are a number of ways in which we are striving to close gaps in achievement, as outlined in the linked document below.

If parents/carers living in Stockton-On-Tees are on a low income they may qualify for Free School Meals (to apply for Free School Meals you can complete the form at https://www.stockton.gov.uk/children-and-young-people/schools/school-meals/) for their child/children. In addition to securing free school meals, this would also result in the school receiving Pupil Premium funding from central government which we can then utilise to support your child with additional educational opportunities.

If children qualify for free school meals parents/carers can also apply annually for a School Clothing Grant of £30 for their children in secondary education. The form can be completed online at www.stockton.gov.uk/children-and-young-people/schools-and-campus-stockton/school-clothing-grant/ or to apply for a Clothing Grant you can contact Customer Services on Tel No 01642 526606 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. As a school we want to open up all opportunities to all students and do not want financial difficulties to be a barrier to these opportunities for pupils. We would always welcome dialogue with parents/carers to discuss how we can offer support in these circumstances. Our Pupil Premium lead in school is Mrs. Carless. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Carless or your child’s tutor or Head of House to discuss these matters further.
