A Programmable Database For
A Large Scale Industrial Plant.

This project involved constructing a database
for a very large crude oil plant in the NE of England. The specification
involved being able to access detailed information concerning all the control
hardware on the plant. This was a lot of data. A project of this size could
only be handled by a fully programmable,relational database. This involved
relational design,macro groups and programming in an object-oriented style.
The final database had custom menus which enabled people to 'point and
click'.
STUDENTS: Mark
Wrangham, Stuart Latheron and Martin Little. Mark and Martin have gone
on to study for computer related degrees.
