NEWTON'S UNIVERSAL LAW OF GRAVITATION
1789

This is a universal law in as much as it can be applied to any two masses m1 and m2 in the universe. The force has always been found to be attractive and is the weakest of all the fundamental forces of nature. Consequently the value of G - the universal gravitational constant is known only to three places of decimals.
